D. SXR power old tales
The 2nd tale: Fault occurs on holidays?

The picture is for one of the filter equipment of The 1st tale. This equipment had a breakdown in one of the 3 insulators which stick out horizontally, on a holiday. The maker in Sweden was also on holiday and we had had a difficult time to tackle the trouble.
Accidents seem to happen at an unfortunate timing.
In power stations and substations too, site people talked about their jinx;
a fault occurs just after the personnel reshuffles of station managers
a fault occurs after scheduled maintenances
Whatever the installation is operating in good condition, the scheduled maintenace has to be performed as it is mandatory by laws. Still the people at site were saying, "Scheduled maintenace is the origin of faults."
This reminds me of a talk wtih a manager of our sales office in Kansai area when I visted there for business promotion. The office was responsible mainly for the installation of thermal power stations. After saying that troubles in their equipment tend to happen just before or on a holiday, he told me that he had a nephew whom he often took to various places, by making such promises as, "on next holiday, I will take you to a pool", etc. However he had to cancel those promises because of the faults in their installaiton several times. One day he met the nephew, then the boy told him that, "Uncle xxx is a liar". He sighed heavily by saying "it's a heavy blow". In a child view, the dashing businessman who places his business before everything is seen like this, That did not sound somebody else's problem, it could be very well mine.
